Business Development Manager - Air Freight

We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Airfreight to be based at our office from Bucharest.

What we offer:

Responsibilities:

  • Generating new business leads through cold calling
  • Develop new business in the International Airfreight market
  • Quote and book International Airfreight
  • Drive new business growth, ensuring goals are met
  • Develop partnerships with carries in your local market to present additional supplier options
  • Ensure successful negotiations and business contracting
  • Generate an increase in business from existing customers listed in your portfolio
  • Identify new target customers within defined parameters
  • Research all clients fully prior to visiting, to ensure credit limits are viable, and there is a realistic chance of success
  • Communication with clients in order to qualify prospects
  • Arrange visits and/or follow up
  • Act as a brand ambassador, networking the company name to generate business

Skills Required:

  • Freight Forwarding sales experience
  • Extensive International Airfreight sales experience is essential
  • Proven track record of developing existing and new International Airfreight business
  • Preferably experience developing shipping business on an international scale
  • Ideally have an active book of Airfreight business to immediately generate revenue from
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field, or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Air Freight Operations Manager

We are looking for an Air Freight Operations Manager to be based at our office from Bucharest.

What we offer:

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiation of freight rates with air carriers, coleaders and ocean carrier
  • Working directly with customs, related government agencies, carriers, vendors and customer.
  •  Takes ownership for company’s freight related matters for  selected market vertical business
  • Manage the overall Freight operations and customer support portfolio for this segment
  • Ensure clients freight shipment demands are met.
  • Manage air freight transactions and be able to help team members resolve any operational issues encountered on the job.
  • Interaction with key stakeholders from various departments. (Sales, Logistics and Customer Service team)

Skills/Qualifications::

  • Minimum 3 years of  airfreight managerial or supervisory experience of which 2 years handling vertical market business
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently and lead team to perform at a higher level.
  •  Embrace a client centric approach in dealing with clients

Customer Service Representative

What we offer:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receiving bookings from Customers to arrange shipments from point of origin to final delivery point.
  •  Instructing overseas partners to arrange shipments from point of origin and maintaining communication with them to ensure shipments are arranged and booked accordingly.
  • To provide quotations to the customers.
  • To communicate and update customers on a regular basis on the status of their shipments.
  • To request information from customers for the preparation & submission to the Customs system and for delivery to the customer avoiding unnecessary delays.
  • To submit accurate information to the customs system in compliance with Customs rules and regulations.
  • To create jobs in the operating systems.
  • To liaise with Shipping lines, LCL operators and service providers, arranging release, delivery and payment of charges in a timely manner.
  •  To resolve service failures, delays or problems with partners, Shipping lines, LCL operators and service providers to the satisfaction of the customer and the company
  •  To update and maintain shipping line rates and customer schedules
  • To maintain and pass KPI service standards
  • To support the management and account managers/BDM’s by providing your experience and knowledge to enable them to develop new business opportunities and maintain good relations with existing customers.
  •  To work effectively with other team members to ensure good operating procedures and practice.

Skills:

  • Demonstrates exceptional verbal communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.
  • Possesses excellent computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft’s suite of products (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), database management, and ability to learn other software.
  • A proficiency in data analysis and numbers. A business development/sales orientation highly desired.
  • Very detail oriented, organized, with ability to multi-task. Strong orientation to customer service.
  • Ability to handle a significant volume of detailed work under pressure. Self-starter able to perform well with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of the import/export business a plus.
